Unity

Hoho it’s rare for me to write on political issues but nevertheless I keen with what’s going on around. Recently Obama, the first ever colored elect President of the United States of America took his oath. The moment he won the presidential seat it triggered an issue of how the non Bumiputra should be possible to hold the Prime Minister position, that our nation could follow the US footstep. The up loud voices are positive for me. We do somehow achieve a level of social maturity to think to the extent of that possibility.

For the moment I stood gazing outside of my window, at the reality of our sky. Is it we are ready for such move? Have our nation matured enough to digest this quantum leap in selves understanding between us? To respect the needs of each races?
Currently, the answer is no. There are plenty of issues need to be settled or at least to be openly admit by every races in our nation. I don’t mean to elaborate every point but put is straight, the core of this so called nation quantum leap is the unity. We need to unite to be strong as a nation. Yes, a nation. Now we are divided by our own motives. We are obliviously separating our seed of future, our youngsters in three different education stream. The Kebangsaan, the Chineese and the Indian schools.

Therefore in order for us to be united, we must accept the idea of Sekolah Wawasan – the only and the very way of introducing unity to our future seed and at the same time preserves each races identity. To me as long as there are peoples who oppose such a move, we will not see the change by what the US citizen had seen. Unity come first, the rest will follow.
